Road to Freedom

Road to Freedom

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. Galatians 5:13

Have you ever thought I know Christ died for my freedom but I just don't see it?

Christ died for our freedom but we have to walk in it. Walking in freedom comes by walking in submission to God and serving others. Galations 5:13 tells us, "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge in the flesh; rather serve one another humbly in love." Then it goes on to say that, "For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."  In verse 22 of Galatians 5 it says, "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

Walking in the Freedom Christ paid for on the cross doesn't just come because you say you believe in Jesus. The only way to walk in freedom according to Psalm 119:45 is to seek out his precepts. His precepts should not be burdensome to us. Freedom is not about obeying rules to obey them but seeking the heart and mind of God. You know that you have sought and are walking in his precepts when you are walking in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  Against these things there is no Law! They are the foundations of his precepts!

Today you are called to be free. Freedom comes by his law that is fulfilled in love. Love God. Love Others. And walk in the freedom he has for you today!
